Journey through the Flower Garden

I walk through the Christchurch Botanical Gardens every day on my way to my studio in the Arts Centre. The flowers and plants in the Gardens are always changing and are a never-ending source of inspiration to me.

Geraniums

The vibrant beauty of orange geraniums inspired me to paint this work. The geraniums are framed by contemporary patterns that enhance their lively hues and intricate details. The fusion of the classic geranium with modern creates a striking visual contrast and creates an interesting blend of tradition and modernity.

Yellow Rose

A yellow rose with stylish rose patterns exudes charm. Its bright yellow petals symbolize joy and friendship, while the intricate patterns add a modern twist. The painting generates a fresh, lively energy which I find joyful.

Gerbera

The vibrant red gerbera stands out against a backdrop of a regular floral pattern. Its bold petals radiate energy and warmth, a striking contrast to the delicate, repeating flowers surrounding it. The gerbera's cheerful colour captures the eye and inspires contemplation.

Sunflower

The bright yellow sunflower stands proudly, its bold petals radiating warmth and cheerfulness. Its rich black center adds a striking contrast, drawing eye in. Surrounding this beautiful flower is a soft pink background creating a gentle and soothing atmosphere. Delicate patterns enhance the overall beauty and whimsy of the painting.
